Don't miss Ayesha's first episode of Holby City on Tuesday 18 November 8pm BBC1 (times vary in Scotland).
Simon with Todd CartyWhen GH Online met Todd
He's a children's TV legend and also one of the nation's favourite actors. So when GH Online webmaster Simon found out Todd Carty was coming to do panto at his local theatre this year he jumped at the chance to meet him!

To close Grange Hill's 30th anniversary year, GH Online will have a special feature on our meeting with Todd in Barnstaple, Devon, back in September. What are Todd's thoughts on the end of Grange Hill - did he sense it was the end? And how does he look back on being part of a show which defined children's TV? The answers to these questions and more in our special feature coming to GH Online in December!
Chris Perry-MetcalfLee MacDonaldYour hair is in Chris and Lee's hands!
Old Grange Hill meets new in the latest series of BBC3's annual fundraiser Celebrity Scissorhands, the new series of which is now under way.

Lee MacDonald - Zammo, and Chris Perry-Metcalf - Togger, are two of the latest hairdressing trainees to come under the tutelage of professional hairdresser Lee Stafford to raise money for Children In Need. Chris admits to being a complete beginner: "Never in my life have I held a pair of scissors - well only to cut a piece of paper," he told BBC.co.uk. "So it's going to be a challenge to say the least." Lee MacDonald shares his nervousness: "I'd rather cut blokes' hair - I'd hate to ruin a girl's hair and make them upset. My wife would never let me touch her hair, I'm genuinely terrified of cutting women's hair!"

To see how they get on, tune in to Celebrity Scissorhands every night on BBC3, but if you're not digital, it's repeated later the same night on BBC1. Good luck Chris and Lee!
Grange Hill spawns a new Album
If you missed the original Grange Hill album from 1986, you probably took advantage of last year's CD re-release. But this year, and just in time for the Christmas market, there's a new Grange Hill album in the shops - but it's not quite what you'd think!

For the Grange Hill name is lent to a new 3CD compilation of late 70s and 80s chart hits, entitled Grange Hill - The Album. Unfortunately, if you were a fan of the later years of Grange Hill there is likely to be little on the new album of interest to you (as marketeers still don't seem to grasp that Grange Hill had only just ended) but if you watched Grange Hill in its formative years you'll certainly enjoy this compendium of chart hits such as Ultavox's Vienna, The Stranglers' Golden Brown and, what else, Teenage Kicks from The Undertones.

A full track listing and pre-order information can be found at Play.com here. Enjoy your own retro school disco!

Georgia FooteFirst Casualty, now Heartbeat for Georgia
Rising Grange Hill star Georgia Foote is set to remain on our screens, having secured a part in long-running drama Heartbeat.

Georgia, 17, is currently filming the episode of ITV1's Sixties-set drama in which she will play Julie Tinniswood. Recently, she appeared as schoolgirl Jennifer Thurber in BBC1's Casualty where she was stabbed with a bottle by an attack victim she was trying to help. She starred alongside The Office's Ralph Ineson.

Meanwhile Georgia's Grange Hill castmate Josh Brown is to star in four episodes of Holby City. He will play Frankie Moore in what his management promise will be an exciting storyline. Josh, who played gentle giant Alex Pickering, previously appeared in Holby's parent show Casualty as a different character.
Tui McLeanFrom Grange Hill to Hollywood for Tui
Actress Tui McLean - recently seen as French exchange student Cecile in Grange Hill - is hoping for her big break in Hollywood.

Tui, 23, has been signed up by the Hollywood agent who got Michelle Ryan the lead role of Jaime Summers in the recent remake of 1970s classic The Bionic Woman. She told the Daily Mail of her surprise on landing the role of Cecile in Grange Hill: "Auditions can be bizarre because you are in a room full of people who look just like you. But for Grange Hill it was worrying because all the other girls were French." Luckily, Tui had something which swung things in her favour: "My degree (in French and Spanish, from Exeter University) helped because I had the accent, and it's easier to play someone younger than you because you've already been that age."

An ex-pupil of Cheltenham Ladies' College, Tui, from Gloucestershire, trained with the National Youth Theatre. And she hasn't ruled out a move Stateside: "I've got tons of auditions and I'm not afraid of moving to America if I have to."
It's all over for Grange Hill
Series 31 of Grange Hill has finally come to an end - and so to has Grange Hill.

In the final episode, Bang, the show's original star pupil Tucker Jenkins returned to give wise words to nephew Togger Johnson, who was faced with being kicked out of school for falling behind. In a poignant exchange of each others' respective scrapes, Tucker was seen urging Togger to stick with it, saying leaving school was the worst decision of his life.

Elsewhere an unexploded WWII bomb threatened to see that Grange Hill's end-of-year prom went with a real bang, but Frank Hooper managed to defuse it - only to discover the ticking he could hear was the alarm clock in his pocket! The show ended with Alex finally pairing up with Sammy and at the end of the prom everyone walking out of the school gates off into the sunset.

Due to overwhelming site traffic today, it may be a while before the Episode 20 guide is ready for publication, so please bear with us! The end of Grange Hill was also reported on several news programmes and we hope to include some of these reports in our Video Vault too.

RIP Grange Hill. Flippin' eck!
